Betfair Sportsbook the biggest riser in Oddschecker H2 2018 clickshare
Sportsbook sees clickshare up more than a third compared to the same period last year

Betfair Sportsbook was the biggest riser in Oddschecker’s click share rankings for the latter half of 2018.
In the six months from August to December the Sportsbook’s share rose 35%, from 5.4% of all clicks to 7.3%.
The uptick was seen across football and racing, with football share up 21% to 6.4% and racing up 38% to 7.2% share.
The improvement doesn’t appear to be driven by pricing, with Premier League overround almost identical to last year.
Sister brand Paddy power also increased its market share, improving 18% to 8.7%.
The Paddys brand appeared to benefit form a focus on horseracing, with football share falling 23% to 4.6% and racing improving 37% to 10%.
Of the top 10 bookmakers, BetVictor and Betfred lost the most share.
In the Premier League, BetVictor led the way through the first half of the season, with aggressive pricing attracting a growing share of attention on the 1×2 market.
Marathonbet continued to offer the tightest book, albeit slightly weaker than (50 basis points) than H1 last season. Unibet also showed well, managing to attract almost twice the market share year-on-year, according to Oddschecker.
Bookmakers overall saw a punter-friendly start to the Premier League, thanks to a higher percentage of winning favourites and a lower percentage of draws.
