South Korean car manufacturer encourages the most reluctant to switch to electric vehicles with the launch of the IONIQ 6

Hyundai has launched its latest marketing campaign designed to ease the overwhelming aspects of switching to electric vehicles (EV).
Coinciding with the launch of the IONIQ 6, the ad campaign, entitled ‘Your Dad Is Going Electric’, stars American actor Kevin Bacon and his daughter Sosie.
The 30- and 60-second hero spots put a light-hearted spin on the father-daughter relationship while listing the benefits of going EV. In addition, a 30-second companion spot named “Grandkids” highlights the positive environmental benefits of going electric for future generations.

The campaign will feature across TV and social media, with supporting content going live across YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The activation will continue through March when the vehicle goes on sale.
The spots were directed by Oscar-nominated film and TV directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon, with production from Furlined.
The concept was devised by long-term Hyundai agency INNOCEAN USA with Canvas coordinating the media buys.
