Five minutes with...Isabel Hale of Squawka
This month's quickfire Q&A comes courtesy of Isabel Hale, head of Squawka and branding at Catena Media

Q: What makes Catena Media a great affiliate partner?
A key knowledge and experience of the market and industry that spans from sportsbook to casino. You name it, we know how to make it work. We also have a great team who believe in the power of partnership and co-operation, working with operators to get the best results possible.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
Developing out Catena’s new branding department has been really exciting. I am mainly focused on how beyond just an affiliate level we can help brands with their overall marketing. I have worked on some awesome animation pieces for the likes of Coral. Basically, every day is different and creative.
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to an aspiring affiliate manager, what would it be?
Learn as much as you can. Affiliate marketing is only one digital specialism, the more you know about all the others, the better you will be. Seek out information and source opportunities to enhance your knowledge.
Q: Who would play you in the movie about your life?
Dick Van Dyke – just for the craic.

Q: What’s your karaoke song of choice?
We are the Champions by Queen – banger.
Q: Which one thing can’t you live without?
Sadly, my phone, though I do have a habit of losing it regularly.
Q: Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with?
Ooo, Machiavelli. I wrote my dissertation on him and still have a few questions.
Q: Where would you time travel to and why?
Probably the Jurassic Period. I never quite got over the child dinosaur obsession but I would have learnt my lesson from all the dinosaur films and potentially keep my distance. I think my mind would be blown though. Imagine how cool it would be to walk with dinosaurs.

Q: What is your favourite TV programme?
I love a murder/crime mystery and pretty much watch all of them, from Midsomer Murders to Making a Murderer.
Q: What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Food – I give in to the cravings.
Q: If you won the lottery, what would you spend the money on?
Sticking with a theme here but they reckon we have discovered less than 10% of dinosaur species. I would travel the world with a team and discover the rest. Isabelasaurus has a ring to it, don’t you think?
Q: Name one place everyone should visit before they die.
Never limit it to one. Travel and see as much as you can. Everytime I think I have found my favourite place, I see something new and my mind changes. But I am also horrifically indecisive.
