Oddschecker’s partner registrations smash records in March
Bumper Cheltenham Festival sees sign-ups skyrocket, although punter-friendly results bash the bookies

Boosted by horseracing’s Cheltenham Festival, oddschecker saw a record number of partner registrations in the month of March.
The odds comparison site reported that the 2022 edition of the Cheltenham Festival “will go down in the history books as oddschecker’s greatest-ever month from an acquisition point of view”.
The number of registrations with partners outperformed its previous best month (March 2021) by 5% and almost doubled the number of its now-third best month (June 2021).

Despite the influx of new customers in March, punter-friendly results on day one and day four of the Cheltenham Festival contributed to 12 out of 28 favourites winning.
In terms of monthly movers on the oddschecker website, LiveScore Bet saw a whopping 908% increase in acquisitions on February.
William Hill was up 4.4% in percentage points on a click-share basis, while bet365 experienced a 1.7% rise in percentage points when it came to bet-share for the month.
The Premier League was also referenced as being especially punter-friendly in March. There was just one draw across the 32 fixtures as Crystal Palace drew with Manchester City on 14 March.
While that result may not have obliged for punters, a huge 78% of Premier League matches saw a pre-match favourite oblige, while 96% of games involving a ‘big six’ team were won by the favourite.
