888 unveils new online casino front and back-ends
London-listed operator hails “intelligent, sophisticated and cutting edge” technology

888 has today launched a new version of its online casino with a new “sleek” front-end, underpinned by a new gaming platform and web application.
888 group COO Itai Pazner said the updated back-end would allow the firm to do more segmentation, more personalisation and implement features like artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The firm said the platform has also been designed to be scalable and to help 888casino grow its presence in regulated markets around the world, including Italy, Denmark, Spain and the US.
“888casino is a pioneer when it comes to online gambling technology, and this latest iteration of our website is intelligent, sophisticated and cutting edge,” added Guy Cohen, SVP of B2C at 888.
“It ensures we deliver a smooth and faultless experience to our players.”
As part of the upgrade, 888 has added new live casino games from Evolution Gaming and said it aims to add other games from “a raft of new suppliers in the coming months”.
The platform will go some way to rejuvenating a casino vertical that accounts for around 60% of 888 revenues, but saw a slowdown in growth in 2017, with revenues up 4% year-on-year.
The firm added it had taken a “mobile-first approach to the redesign, ensuring it delivers an engaging and entertaining experience to those playing on smartphone and tablet devices”.
