888 agrees live streaming deal with Caesars Interactive
Operator to act as live streaming coverage provider for World Series of Poker Europe and Asia Pacific broadcasts.

London-listed operator 888 has announced a sponsorship agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE), covering the US company’s World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) and World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP APAC) tournaments.
The operator will provide live streaming coverage of both tournaments, as well as acting as the sponsor of television broadcasts of both series of events, via its 888poker.tv website.
Both series will also be streamed on wsop.com and at the dot.com domain of Power Affiliate PokerListings, which has been named as the official live coverage provider and will also provide ongoing coverage of bracelet events.
888 director Gareth Edwards said: “Partnering with the largest live tournament series, WSOP, is an exciting opportunity for 888poker and its players. As a leading online poker site we strive to give our players the best poker experience. Our sponsorship with WSOP definitely achieves that.”
The WSOP APAC debuts this year, while the WSOPE has had Barrière Poker as its primary sponsor since 2011, when the French brand’s parent company Groupe Lucien Barrière inked an agreement with CIE.
Caesars chief executive Gary Loveman revealed earlier this year that the operator could ultimately favour Barrière for its regulated US-facing poker offering, though agreements with the French operator and 888 are both still active.
888 itself was awarded an online poker licence in Nevada this month, and has a B2B agreement in place with fellow licensee Treasure Island as well as a US-facing B2C joint venture with Avenue Capital Group.
