888 appoints new poker marketing head
Erika Schwartz Poole joins the operator as head of 888poker live and partnerships

Gibraltar-licensed operator 888 has strengthened its marketing division after appointing former PKR global head of marketing Erika Schwartz Poole (pictured) to head up its offline marketing and partnerships strategy.
Poole, who started her new role earlier this month, is tasked with launching a new offline sub-brand, encompassing its global live events, VIP offline activity, brand ambassadors and social activities.
Poole has spent almost a decade in the gaming industry, starting as events and sponsorship manager at PartyGaming in 2004 before spending a year as marketing manager at World Poker Tour.
In 2006, Poole joined PKR where she helped the poker brand achieve 1m users in its first year after launch, and 5m overall, before taking a break in late 2011 to go travelling.
Poole joined the 888 team at this week’s eGaming Review Operator of the Year Awards in London where she saw the operator scoop a hat-trick of awards.
The operator capped off a stellar year of rising revenues and US expansion by taking home the Poker Operator, Casino Operator and overall Operator of the Year awards at the ceremony held at the iconic Roundhouse.
