Playtech to launch live casino with Casino Gran Madrid
Spanish land-based casino already has a marketing deal with Playtech-owned PTTS.

Playtech is set to launch a live casino offering for the Spanish egaming market after agreeing a deal with one of the country’s largest land-based casinos.
Casino Gran Madrid, which is among several licensees of the software provider’s marketing arm PT Turnkey Services, will offer the land-based presence required of all dot.es live casino providers, thereby allowing Playtech to supply the offering to its Spanish-facing licensees, which include bet365 and Poker770.
Playtech’s live gaming studio, located at the venue itself, will offer HD broadcasts of casino table games with Spanish-speaking dealers.
The announcement marks an extension of Playtech’s existing agreement with Casino Gran Madrid, which covers online poker, slots and casino table games for the regulated Spanish market.
Casino Gran Madrid, which hosted the grand final of the European Poker Tour in 2011, had previously been the first operator to be awarded a Madrid online gaming licence before Spain-wide licences were first issued last year. Its relationship with Playtech dates back to 2009.
Playtech head of live games Aviv Nankin said: “We are pleased to partner with Casino Gran Madrid, as this partnership will further cement the relationship and enable Playtech to enter the Spanish market, a new live gaming market appealing to both existing and new licensees.”
The provider is the second in recent months to announce a live casino deal for the Spanish market, after Evolution Gaming revealed plans to design and launch a live roulette studio at Grupo Orenes-owned Casino Rincón de Pepe in Murcia.
Meanwhile Casino Gran Madrid also has an agreement in place with PokerStars, which saw the dot.es poker market leader set up a physical poker room at the casino.
