ALEA targets UK market with LadyLucks acquisition
Malta-based operator aims to “significantly grow” UK presence following recent licence award

ALEA has acquired the LadyLucks casino brand from IGT for an undisclosed sum, the companies announced today.
The operator, which recently secured a UK licence for its SlotsMillion 3D casino site, has already taken control of the LadyLucks brand and migrated it onto its own platform.
“This is a bold move from ALEA, and forms part of our battle plans for the UK market,” ALEA co-founder Alexandre Tomic said.
“Now that we have a licence from the Gambling Commission, we want to significantly grow our presence in the country.
“LadyLucks is already benefitting from the ALEA touch; we have quadrupled the number of game suppliers, rolled out games on desktop as well as mobile, and given players access to free spins for the very first time.”
LadyLucks was originally launched back in 2004 as the market’s first mobile-only casino.
Following the deal, Alea also announced the appointment of Sarah Quinan as LadyLuck’s casino manager.
Quinan worked closely with the brand for many years, developing the customer support and driving its VIP programme until July 2017.
Tomic added: “We see huge potential for the LadyLucks brand to become a power player in UK online casino, and with the help of Sarah Quinan, our new LadyLucks casino manager, will become a force to be reckoned with.”
