Amaya enters Belgium with Circus deal
Software provider to work with licensed operator on casino777.be site.

Canadian software provider Amaya Gaming has moved into the regulated Belgian market for the first time through a licensing agreement with Circus Services SPRL, a subsidiary of Circus Groupe.
Circus was among the first wave of operators to be awarded an A+ casino licence by the Belgian Gaming Commission, and its deal with Amaya will focus on its casino777.be site. It also owns land-based venues in the cities of Spa and Namur, with the latter having partnered with fellow Belgian licensee PokerStars.
Amaya CEO David Baazov described the deal as “A very significant signing for us,” saying it allows the company to “Establish a great new relationship and market in Belgium with a respected operator to grow our business online and potentially offline.”
Emmanuel Mewissen, chief executive of Circus Groupe, said the integration of Amaya’s games onto casino777.be “will give our customers a better choice and experience.”
It is not clear at present which of Amaya’s games will be licensed to Circus. The Toronto-listed company has expanded its portfolio over the last two years through the acquisition of Chartwell and CryptoLogic.
The company is already licensed in multiple jurisdictions on several different continents, including Kenya and the Dominican Republic, while it has existing supply and licensing deals with operators including Betsson and Loto-Québec.
