Aristocrat launches freeplay casino site for Michigan tribe
Deal follows launch of Maryland Live! Casino site earlier this year in partnership with GameAccount Network.
Aristocrat Technologies has launched a freeplay online casino for Michigan’s Island Resort & Casino.
The tribal casino penned the online deal with the US gaming machine supplier last year, having been a customer of its land-based casino management system Oasis 360 since 1995.
The site, which launched last week, uses Aristocrat’s nLiveLink to link the virtual and brick-and-mortar casinos for a holistic view of player behaviour.
Players will have access to freeplay versions of heads-up or multiplayer Texas Hold’em poker games, new and classic Aristocrat slot games, as well as multiplayer skill-based games via the company’s partnership with GameAccount Network which was signed last year.
Operated by the Hannahville Indian Community, Island Resort is the first tribal operation to sign an agreement for an nLive site.
Kelly Shaw, Aristocrat’s vice-president of system sales and marketing said of the launch: “The Hannahville Indian Community is a visionary tribe, and the Island Resort Casino is a stand-out leader in tribal country. The tribe looked to us to create a solution to be a strong marketing tool to drive players to the brick-and-mortar operation, and we are confident that the powerful combination of the nLive virtual casino and the nLiveLink player rewards link will do exactly that.”
In April, the GameAccount and Aristocrat partnership launched its first play-for-fun online casino, the Nevada-hosted Myliveonlinecasino.com, for the Maryland Live! Casino, a new $500m gaming and entertainment destination due which opened in June. In its first three weeks of operation the site attracted more than 12,000 registered users.
