Australian regulator bars more illegal gambling and affiliate sites
The ACMA issues six blocking orders to offshore sites offering gambling and engaged in affiliate marketing illegally

The Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) has found a further six sites to be in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
The ACMA has requested Australian internet service providers (ISPs) to block access to all the sites. The offending sites are Pokies Online Casino, CasinoAus, Australian Casino Sites and AU Online Casino.
Breaches of the act include providing an unlicensed interactive gambling service to customers and publishing advertisements for prohibited or unlicensed services.
Website blocking is one of a number of enforcement actions in place to protect Australians against illegal online gambling. Since its first blocking request made to ISPs in November 2019, ACMA has barred access to 426 illegal websites.
Additionally, over 160 illegal services have pulled out of the Australian market since ACMA started enforcing new illegal offshore gambling regulations in 2017.
The ACMA reminds players that even if a site looks legitimate, it is unlikely to have adequate customer protections. This means that Australians who use these sites are at risk of losing their money.
This latest string of blocks comes after last month the ACMA issued orders to halt access to another 12 sites: Zebet, Zeturf, Slot Vibe, Arlekin Casino, Johnnie Kash Kings, Lucky Star, Horus Casino, 21 Dukes, Tangiers Casino, 7 Reels, Winward Casino and Thebes Casino.
