
Betboo signs Mobenga deal to launch mobile offering
GVC brand to launch mobile sportsbook for later stages of Euro 2012 with Playtech subsidiary.

Mobile sportsbook supplier Mobenga has announced a deal with GVC Holdings subsidiary Betboo marking the South American-facing operator’s first venture into mobile betting.
Commenting on the deal Betboo CEO Almir Ribeiro said he was “very excited” to be moving into the mobile sector: “Being able to bet on the go with Betboo has been a major element in the feedback we have received from our customers and we can’t see anyone other than Mobenga helping us satisfy our needs.
“I’m also very pleased that we’ll be launching during the Euros and we’ll be able to capitalize on this great event,” he added.
The deal follows a similar agreement between Mobenga and Italian operator Sisal, with the launch also timed to capitalise on the Euro 2012 football championship in Poland and the Ukraine.
Christian Rajter, CEO of the mobile supplier, which was acquired by Playtech in July last year, said he was excited to be moving into South America through the deal: “We are very happy to be have gain the trust of Betboo to help them establish themselves in the mobile channel and capitalize on the great opportunities that it presents.
“Betboo is an exciting brand and is associated with fun, sports, community and friends and we are very excited to bring this into the South American mobile space,” Rajter added.
Mobenga was named mobile supplier of the year at this year’s eGaming Review B2B Awards, one of four gongs awarded to Playtech on the night.
