Irish operator unveils new betting markets on the Premier League's official fantasy football competition

BetBright is aiming to reach out to a wider demographic after launching a range of new betting markets based on the official Fantasy Premier League football competition.
The Fantasy Football Betting feature offers prices on a variety of markets including top weekly fantasy points scoring team, midfielder, striker and player based on the Barclays Premier League’s official fantasy football product.
BetBright’s director of sportsbook Noel Hayes, who joined the operator from Tote Ireland earlier this year, told eGaming Review he was confident the concept of fantasy football betting will drive engagement across its customer base.
“It is pretty boring to talk yourself up to your mates that you backed Arsenal at even money in their weekend game but it is far more exciting and interesting to talk about why you feel Aguero is value at 12/1 to be top player,” Hayes said.
“It is clear that the markets have an edge that would boost the BetBright brand and help engage a desirable cohort of customers. Additionally we had confidence in our ability to price the markets which made it easier for us to make the decision to take them to market,” he added.
Odds for all fantasy betting markets are priced by BetBright’s in-house trading team which spent several weeks before the start of the season building, developing and back testing pricing models.
“We have seen tremendous uptake and participation and also received some very complimentary feedback via customer service and across various social media platforms,” Hayes said.
“It is certainly something different and on trend and the customer base recognise and appreciate that,” he added.
