BetCity strengthens responsible gambling team with two new hires
Dutch gaming start-up brings onboard ex-Kaizen Gaming and financial industry executives to build out safer gambling team

BetCity.nl, one of the 10 Dutch companies to be issued a licence by the Netherlands Gambling Authority to legally offer online gaming from 1 October 2021, has announced two new hires to bolster its responsible gaming team.
Iris den Boer joins the team having previously worked as a responsible gaming expert at Kindred Group based in Malta for four-and-a-half years up to January 2019 and subsequently as the responsible gaming manager for Australian social gaming company VGW until August 2019. Her most recent role was at Kaizen Gaming for over two years under the same job title.
Milan Moser joins from Dutch bank ABN AMRO where he worked for three years. He is reported to have been an integral part of the bank’s new client and compliance department.
The new additions take the number of staff in BetCity’s Amsterdam head office to over 60 people. As one of the few licencees able to operate in the Netherlands, BetCity is applying local knowledge to gain an edge over competitors, with director of Casino City Mario Singels having previously told EGR: “We are a local company. We think we have an edge over other players here in the Netherlands. We will lose that edge when we go to another market. So, we first have to try to really see if we can do better than others in the Netherlands before we go to other countries.”
