Betclic head of legal and compliance leaves after four years
Aline Camus announces departure from Bordeaux-based operator after supporting IPO preparation for parent company

Betclic head of legal and compliance Aline Camus has announced she has left the operator after more than four years in the role.
Camus joined the Bordeaux-based operator in May 2018 and managed the legal and compliance team across four countries: France, Portugal, Malta and Poland.
As part of her role, she also supported the group data protection program and the public affairs director.
In a key role, Camus also helped support the Betclic parent company FL Entertainment’s proposed merger with SPAC firm Pegasus Entrepreneurial Acquisition Company.
The €7.2bn deal will see the new company list on the Euronext Amsterdam if it concludes.
Before joining Betclic, Camus spent just under two years at Salesforce as the corporate counsel to the commercial legal team.
Camus previously spent over seven years at Kindred Group brand Unibet as the legal counsel for the brand between June 2009 and July 2016.
Camus said: “I have left my position of head of legal and compliance at Betclic Group after four very intense years.
“It would be an understatement to say this four-year journey had been quite a ride, and it will be impossible to list all the things I’ve learned there. Thanks again Betclic for this opportunity and the trust.
“I put a lot of energy and dedication, so it was time for me to take a break before working on the next chapter of my career,” she added.
