Betclic and PMU mobile offerings approved by ARJEL
Operators granted approval to offer bets through iPhone and Android devices.

Betclic and PMU have had their mobile betting software approved by ARJEL, the French regulator has announced.
Former monopoly PMU, which saw turnover from online activities pass 1bn earlier this month, can now accept bets on horse racing and sporting events via the device.
Betclic customers will now be able to bet on sports using Android devices, following ARJEL’s certification of the software. Betclic’s parent company Betclic Everest group underwent a restructuring last year, with Betclic Expekt CEO Thomas Winter departing to be replaced by three regional heads. Ricardo Domingues has taken charge of Southern Europe; Tomasz Mazur is responsible for Northern and Eastern Europe, and former Betclic CMO Marc Guigo is responsible for the company’s core French market.
PokerStars are also looking to bring out a real-money mobile client in France this year following the launch’s app in Italy, as revealed by eGaming Review last week.
