Betclic creates new gaming division in company reshuffle
French operator pursues growth ambitions with the creation of two new strategic divisions

Betclic Everest Group has created two new strategic divisions within the organisation in order to help meet the company’s ambitious 2014 growth plans, eGaming Review has learned.
The Everest Poker & Casino, Imperial Casino and Monte Carlo Casino Region (EIM) division has been launched to “develop strategies” and operate the group’s dot.com and Asia gaming brands.
The new division will be led by Des Duffy, who has been head of poker at Betclic Everest Group since August 2012 and will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition, retention and P&L management for the brands.
The French operator has also created a new product and innovation team to be headed up by Pascal Brouet who has been at the French operator since 2009.
The team has been given a brief to develop the Group’s product roadmap, maintain product consistency across all verticals and to generate new innovation ideas.
“These [moves are] clearly linked to the growth strategy that we had already outlined for 2014,” Isabelle Andres, Betclic Everest CEO, told eGR this morning.
Following on from the creation of the operator’s new Italy division in September, Andres also confirmed Francesco Postiglione had been hired as Italy region director and reports directly in to Andres.
The changes come after the French company outlined its growth plans last November and announced it was looking to increase its market share of the French online poker market by 50% in 2014.
The announcement was followed by the launch of a new native Everest Poker-branded mobile app after successfully completing its migration to the Playtech iPoker network.
