Betclic hires former Mr Green CMO
Henrik Svensson to take up new role as Betclic Everest Group's director of international markets next month

Betclic Everest Group has hired former Mr Green chief marketing officer Henrik Svensson as senior consultant and director of international markets, eGaming Review has learned.
Svensson will join Betclic on 1 September and will oversee business development for the company’s operations in Northern Europe, Southern Europe and its Everest, Imperial and Monte Carlo brands.
“We need to develop our revenues in some key areas for our Group, whether it is Nordics or casino revenues just to name some of them,” Isabelle Andrès, Betclic Everest Group CEO, said.
“[Svensson] has a proven track record of continuously evolving businesses and increasing revenues and profitability [and] is going to contribute actively to the profitable growth of our activity, and notably for our brands Expekt and Montecarlo Casino,” she added.
eGR revealed earlier this month Svensson had left the casino operator with his departure leading to a company reorganisation including splitting his responsibilities into two roles.
Fredrik Stael von Holstein has since been brought in to serve as Mr Green’s chief marketing manager while Stein-Erik Myhre has been hired to take responsibility for the group’s customer acquisition efforts and manage the operator’s activities in its various jurisdictions.
Svensson first joined Mr Green in February 2013 from the Nordic Gaming Group where he held the role of CEO following the acquisition of the company by Betsson in April 2012.
Prior to becoming chief executive Svensson was also CMO for three-and-a-half years at the Stockholm-based firm after being appointed in July 2009.
Svensson also worked as Betway Sweden country manager between March 2006 and June 2009.
