Operator merges Italian and international divisions and promotes Italy head Francesco Postiglione to international director

Betclic Everest Group has promoted its head of Italy Francesco Postiglione to the role of director of international markets as part of a strategy to combine its Italian and international divisions.
The Paris-headquartered firm’s board took the decision to merge the two divisions following a recent strategic review, a move which will also see Postiglione relocate to London from Rome.
Postiglione, who led Betclic Everest’s Italian operation for more than two years, replaces Henrik Svensson as director of international markets, who will leave the firm by mutual agreement after 18 months of service.
“Although he was here a relatively short time Henrik oversaw a much needed re-organisation of Betclic International and pulled together a more efficient and streamlined organisation,” Isabelle Andres (pictured), Betclic Everest Group CEO, told eGaming Review.
“I would like to thank Henrik for bringing focus to MKI and his contributions to Betclic Everest, in particular the relaunch of Expekt. I wish him well and success for the future,” she continued.
Svensson was previously chief marketing officer at online casino operator Mr Green, before taking up the role of head of international markets at Betclic Everest Group in September 2014.
His replacement Postiglione helped establish the Betclic brand in the Italian online gambling market and will conduct a handover with Svensson over the coming weeks.
