Betclic targets UK in Euro expansion
Newly regulated markets key to 2014 growth plans as French operator aims to become a fully-fledged "European operator"

Betclic Everest Group is to embark on a push into regulated European markets this year with the operator setting its sights on UK and Germany licences.
The company joined the application process in Germany and plans to obtain a UK licence in April as well as other newly regulated markets on the continent this year as it looks to add to its current France, Italy and Gibraltar licences.
Speaking with eGaming Review, Betclic Everest Group CEO Isabelle Andres said its regulated market push was one of two key challenges for the firm in 2014 with a greater focus on CRM also on the agenda.
“Although we don’t want to completely discard dot.com, we really want to expand our presence into regulated markets such as the UK,” she said. “Our real aim is to be viewed as a European operator as opposed to just a French operator.”
“Our second task for the year is to address our customer’s needs by ramping up CRM,” Andres added. “To do this we intend to make a major investment in CRM tools as well as reinforcing the CRM organisation in Betclic more broadly.”
Additionally the operator has targeted an improved performance from its casino and poker products as the company looks to cement itself in the top three of the French online poker market.
As part of its strategy Betclic Everest Group recently launched a Playtech-powered Everest Poker-branded native mobile poker app on iPhone.
