Betfred boosts retail offering with SSBT expansion
Deal agreed with Playtech BGT Sports after Betfred reports significant growth in non-football and in-play betting

Betfred will increase its offering of Playtech BGT Sports’ (PBS) self-service betting terminals (SSBTs) across its 1,700 strong retail estate, the operator announced this morning.
The operator had an existing deal in place with PBS, which was already extended with an additional 500 SSBTs in June.
Betfred Retail managing director Mark Stebbings said the estate’s existing terminals has produced significant growth from non-football and in-play betting since launch, helping to diversify the firm’s retail offering and deliver incremental revenues.
“The latest instalment confirms the importance of our partnership with Playtech BGT Sports as we look to continue to improve both product and user experience across our estate,” Stebbings said.
John Pettit, managing director for UK, Ireland, Asia, and Australia at Playtech BGT Sports said: “Having already extended the initial contract earlier in the year, we’re delighted that their customers are continuing to enjoy both the incremental revenue opportunities and product development features that only the Playtech BGT Sports SSBTs can deliver.”
