Betfred launches advertising review prior to new campaign
Agencies invited to pitch for new £5m multi-channel campaign to launch prior to next domestic football season
Betfred is to review its existing advertising with its current agency asked to re-pitch for its upcoming £5m marketing push for the next domestic football season in August.
Campaignlive.co.uk reported the operator is launching an “internal realignment” of the Betfred brand and has appointed Creativebrief to handle the process, with current account holder BJL asked to re-pitch.
Initial meetings are to be held early this month prior to the hearing of pitches in July, with the winner expected a week later.
The winning agency will be handed a £5m multi-channel campaign with the aim of building the firm’s brand and broadening its appeal.
The new campaign will launch in August prior to the launch of the 2014/15 Premier League football season, following on from the £9m campaign “you’ll love a bit of Betfred” campaign that ran last season.
London and Manchester-based ad agency BJL has been Betfred’s account holder for the last three years and also holds accounts for firms including British Airways and UK supermarket ASDA.
BJL most recently collaborated with Betfred on a campaign promoting the operator’s mobile casino product urging customers to have ‘more fun with your fingers’.
