Betfred lottery app free to download for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 from Microsoft's online stores
Betfred has released the first gambling application to be available to download from both Windows and Windows Phone stores.
The free lottery app allows players to bet on 12 international lotteries with draws taking place daily. Lucky dip and saved favourite number functions have been incorporated in the design of the app, which took eight weeks to develop, with first time users receiving a £5 match bet as a welcoming bonus.
Chris Sheffield, managing director at Betfred.com, said the launch was a coup for the company.
“I’ve no doubt the partnership will propel us in our mission to become the front-runners in mobile gambling and gaming, especially in the lottery sector,” he said.
The application is the first to be developed by Manchester-based application design agency Degree 53, a spin-off from Betfred.com’s mobile business which launched in September last year.
Former Betfred.com head of mobile Andy Daniels heads the agency and confirmed at the time that it is also in talks with a non-UK sportsbook operator to produce a mobile site.
