
BetMakers promotes from within for new chief digital officer
ASX-listed firm brings product head Dan MacDonald into C-level after less than two years with the company


Wagering technology provider BetMakers has promoted Dan MacDonald to become the Australian firm’s new chief digital officer.
MacDonald has served as BetMakers’ head of product since October 2020 and will now take the step up to C-level.
He joined BetMakers from BetEasy where he spent more than two years as a senior product manager.
MacDonald also spent time as a senior product manager for William Hill in Sydney after beginning his career in the industry with Sportsbet.
In his role as chief digital officer, MacDonald will oversee product and tech development at the supplier.
Speaking on his promotion, MacDonald said: “I am delighted to be offered this great opportunity at BetMakers. Since joining the company in late 2020, I’ve seen it experience incredible growth and the future global opportunities couldn’t be more exciting.”
