Triston Richard Smook takes up the position after just over three years with the firm

Betsson Group has promoted Triston Richard Smook to become the firm’s head of affiliates
Smook will lead the affiliate department and drive traffic to the firm’s brands while also ensuring the team creates long-term relationships with affiliate partners and other stakeholders.
He commenced this new role on 14 November and will be based at Betsson’s operational HQ in Malta.
He originally joined the operator in October 2019 as a key affiliate manager before being made affiliate business development manager in December 2020.
Smook was made senior manager in February 2022, ahead of this new role.
Smook has nearly two decades of experience in the igaming industry, working for the likes of Genesys Affiliates, Legolasbet and Betwinner Affiliates.
Elsewhere, Betsson recently posted its best-ever quarter, fuelled by a 45% surge in sportsbook revenue.
Group revenue for Q3 came in at €200.3m (£174.1m), which was 18% up on what was posted in 2021.
Betsson AB president and CEO Pontus Lindwall said: “We saw a continued positive development during the third quarter with high growth and profitability for the group as a whole. Betsson reported new records for revenue and operating profit, driven by both sports betting and casino.”
