Betsson inks 'stepping-stone' B2B sportsbook deal with Claymore Group
Stockholm-listed operator will supply betting technology for soon-to-be-launched ibet brand

Betsson has signed its first sports betting supplier deal with Malta-based Claymore Group, which operates Asia-focused egaming brand LeTou.
Under the terms of the deal, Betsson will provide a technology platform and odds-compilation services for Claymore’s upcoming European-focused sports betting brand ibet, due to launch in May.
Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson AB, expressed his hope the agreement would become a stepping-stone for future deals, calling it a “milestone” for the company.
“It does not only manifest that we have a competitive sportsbook product, but also demonstrates how the group’s strong technology platforms can offer new B2B possibilities,” Lindwall added.
Claymore Group chairman Paul Fox hailed the partnership as of “vital importance” to the company’s ambitions for 2020 and the launch of ibet.
Fox said Claymore is keen to replicate the success of the LeTou brand, which operates in the Asian market.
LeTou is currently the Asian gaming partner of several European football clubs including Italian side Inter Milan, having first inked a deal with the Serie A heavyweights in 2018.
The company also previously served as shirt sponsor for EFL Championship club Swansea City during the 2017/18 season.
Earlier this month, Betsson announced the closure of its Betsafe sports betting brand in the Danish market following the Danish government’s decision to increase online gaming tax to 28% from January 2021.
