Betsson launches ‘industry-first’ card to withdraw player funds
Operator has partnered with EML payments to launch the MasterCard-powered card in Sweden

Betsson has partnered with Australian payments provider EML to launch the “industry’s first” top-up card that Swedish players can use to withdraw winnings from any cash machine.
The card is powered by MasterCard and enables users to withdraw their winnings from their account in cash in real-time.
In a statement, the operator said it expects the system to boost retention and customer acquisition with its ease of use and convenience.
EML Group CEO Tom Cregan said: “Betsson is an innovator in the gaming industry, continuously reinventing and developing new ways to delight their customers.
“EML’s strategy aligns perfectly with their philosophy, and we are appreciative of the opportunity to help Betsson take their popular gaming brands to the next level of consumer experience,” Cregan added.
The card is blocked from being used with competing brands.
Betsson chief strategy officer Peter Zall highlighted the needs for new payments innovations in the Swedish market in a recent interview with EGR Technology.
