Stockholm-listed firm launches new advertising campaign to encourage customers to set their own boundaries

Betsson Group has launched a new advertising campaign in Greece to promote safer gambling and the new Betsson Foundation.
The new campaign features the leading message: “Athletes should go all in. Maybe you shouldn’t.” The advert aims to encourage players to set their own boundaries and remind them that they should gamble responsibly.
Alongside this new campaign, the Malta-headquartered operator has set up a new foundation which is completely independent of betsson.gr and provides tips on safe and responsible gambling.
Speaking exclusively to EGR, Thanos Marinos, MD of Greece for Betsson, said: “We launched the campaign on Tuesday, and even though it is still early days, we have already received very positive feedback. This was corroborated with what we are seeing online with our social media metrics. We have also received good feedback from the Hellenic Gaming Commission.”
Marinos explained why Betsson felt it was necessary to launch this campaign.
He said: “The Greek gambling market is one of the biggest in Europe. It was regulated 14 months ago, and Betsson was the first operator to receive a licence to legally operate in this market.
“This campaign is part of our commitment in the market and is supplemented by other social impact initiatives that we carry out in Greece.”
Betsson was awarded two licenses for online gaming and betting in Greece in May 2021 for an initial period of seven years.
