Betsson rebrands recently-acquired Spanish casino
Premier Casino site relaunched as StarCasino following the success of the brand in Italy

Betsson has relaunched its recently acquired Spanish Premier Casino product under the new brand StarCasino.es.
Customers launching the old site are now faced with the message: “Premier Casino is now called StarCasino. Clients of Premier Casino can use their details to log into StarCasino.”
The operator made the move because of the old brand’s small customer base and the success of the StarCasino brand in Italy.
CEO Ulrik Bengtsson told EGR Intel he saw great synergies between the two domains. “It was such a small revenue base so it made sense to run both under the same brand,” he said.

Star Casino’s re-branded website
Bengtsson said the Premier Casino operations, purchased back in March, were now fully integrated into Betsson’s Malta office, with the brand’s old office in Madrid now closed.
He also said the casino portfolio had been increased to include new titles.
Bengtsson told investors the firm had done a lot to improve the profitability of both Star Casino and the freshly acquired UK operator NetPlay TV.
“Looking at the combined two entities in H2 we think margins will be above 5%. Looking a little bit further forward to 2018, we should be able to run those two entities at the same level of margin as the rest of Betsson,” Bengtsson added.
Premier Casino had approximately 260,000 registered customers.
