Betsson signs new ad agency for Swedish Hockey League push
Operator will launch the campaign in Sweden and Norway and is plotting a new brand identity

Betsson has hired Swedish ad agency Garbergs to lead the marketing campaign for its Swedish Hockey League sponsorship.
The campaign will run in both Sweden and Norway, although Betsson chief strategy officer, Peter Zäll, told EGR he was not sure whether it would be rolled out further afield.
“We are facing an incredibly exciting time where clarity and impact is very important [in the run up to Swedish regulations],” Zäll added.
“We want to clearly show that we are a gaming company that engages in both sport and casino for the dedicated player.”
In the past, Garsberg has carried out work for fellow online gambling operator ComeOn, Swedish Tennis star Björn Borg’s clothing line and consulting engineering group Ramboll.
Zäll said the initial campaign would communicate the firm’s relationship with the Swedish Hockey League which signed Betsson as main sponsor last month.
“Later in fall, we will likely follow-up with a new bigger long-term concept. This is something that we plan to continue for some time,” Zäll said.
Zäll also said Betsson’s in-house marketing team, which is split by market, had “carried out an excellent job on a refreshed brand identity that we are planning to launch in the near future”.
