
Betsson to launch flagship brand in Spain
Betsson.es to boast most slot games in the market and Bet Construct-powered sportsbook


Betsson has launched its flagship Betsson brand in Spain, the firm announced Wednesday.
The Malta-headquartered operator entered the Spanish market in March 2017, after acquiring the locally-licensed online gaming operator, Premier Casino, and announced plans to launch a sportsbook in October.
BetConstruct will power the Betsson.es sportsbook, with the provider chosen over Betsson’s own sportsbook technology because it already had a Spanish licence
“In order to save time to market we are using that platform,” Group CEO Pontus Lindwall said. “The market is important for us now.”
The site will also be one of the largest online casinos in Spain according to Betsson, with more slot games than any other operator in the market, and more than €2m in jackpots.

The operator this morning reported an 18% drop in Q4 operating income (EBIT), with group CEO Pontus Lindwall saying the turnaround could take until the end of the year.
