Betsson goes live in Italy with Evolution
Roulette and blackjack variants launched on Swedish operator's StarCasino.it site.
Betsson has launched Evolution Gaming’s live dealer offering on its StarCasino brand in Italy, the operator has announced.
StarCasino has launched Evolution’s Venezia Roulette and Ventuno “ a blackjack variant customised for Italian players “ with a standard live blackjack offering to follow, featuring native Italian dealers.
Betsson’s general manager for Italy Fabio Bufalini explained that the group’s successful existing relationship with Evolution prompted them to select the Malta-licensed supplier for the Italian market: “Betsson Group has already achieved international success with Evolution Live Casino. In Italy we were also aware of Evolution’s localised solutions and their dedicated tables, which we see as the way forward in this market.
“Evolution was therefore the natural choice as StarCasino’s live casino partner for Italy,” Bufalini said.
The deal further strengthens Evolution’s position in Italy, where it currently supplies the likes of bwin.party’s Gioco Digitale brand, Lottomatica and Microgame, with Gionata La Torre, chief executive of Evolution Italy commenting: “We’re delighted to be working with StarCasino, a company that is very focused on delivering the best possible Live Casino services for local players. This latest launch further consolidates our position as the market leader in the Italian market.”
Alongside its native Italian casino rooms, Evolution has also launched a Dutch-language offering with Oranje Casino.
It follows the launch of a branded, exclusive live dealer casino room for Unibet in March, and a deal which will see Evolution become the exclusive live dealer provider for bwin.party at dot.com and dot.country level, agreed in May.
