Betsson has renewed its license deal with software supplier Net Entertainment (NetEnt) in a deal that will continue the casino tie between the two Swedish companies into its tenth year, as well as introduce NetEnt's download casino and a suite of mini games.

BETSSON has renewed its license deal with software supplier Net Entertainment (NetEnt) in a deal that will continue the casino tie between the two Swedish companies into its tenth year.
The operator has already employed NetEnt’s CasinoModule, which provides browser-based casino games, for the past seven years, and under the terms of the agreement NetEnt will provide it for a further three.
Today’s deal will also see Betsson introduce NetEnt’s download casino as well as a suite of mini games. Betsson is already part of the NetEnt progressive jackpot network which paid out more than 10m in jackpots in 2009.
The new coincided with Betsson’s first quarter figures, which saw revenues increase 17% to SEK 367.7m, from SEK315.5 in the same period in 2009.
Operating income rose 2% to SEK 84.2, from SEK82.4m, after having been hit with a cost of SEK9.2m due to currency revaluation of balance sheet items.
The operator also recorded more than SEK1bn in gross sportsbook turnover, an increase of 89% from the year before.
Betsson president and chief executive Pontus Lindwall said: “Betsson´s investments in the Sportsbook have proved to be successful. The Sportsbook increase was 89 percent even on the highly competitive Swedish market. This clearly shows that Betsson has gained market share.”
