Betsson to open second Malta hub
Around 300 staffers from a mix of departments set to move to new offices in St Julian's

Betsson Group’s continued expansion has resulted in the firm opening an additional hub in Malta after outgrowing its existing headquarters, eGaming Review has learned.
The new base, named the Betsson E2 Hub, will see around 300 staff members from a mix of departments, yet to be confirmed, move to the new location.
The operator’s centralised operations will remain at its main headquarters in Ta’ Xbiex.
Speaking with EGR, Betsson Group chief HR officer, Taina Makkonen, said the initial opening of the new hub would “most likely” take place in November.
“Betsson Group is experiencing strong growth and is expanding as we bring together some of the brightest talent from across to Europe to the Betsson Experience Centre, the operational headquarters of Betsson in Malta,” said Makkonen.
“As we continue to expand, we have outgrown the Betsson Experience Centre and found a second building aptly named the Betsson E2 Hub situated just a 10-minute drive away from the Experience Centre in the town of St Julian’s.
“Growth in terms of staff is happening across the board while we receive almost 2,000 applications a month.”
Betsson employs around 1,900 people and has hubs across Europe, including Stockholm, Budapest, Kiev, Tallinn and London.
Earlier this year, the Group opened a software development office in central London as part of its strategy to “stay at the forefront” of gaming technology.
Recently, Betsson moved to strengthen its position in the Baltics with the acquisition of sportsbook operator TonyBet’s Lithuanian business for up to 6m (£5.1m).
