BetTech Gaming appoints Mike Shea as head of trading
Shea joins South Africa-based operator from Sportingbet
South Africa-based gaming technology supplier BetTech Gaming has appointed former Sportingbet horse racing trading supervisor Mike Shea as the operator’s head of trading.
Shea, who originates from South Africa, will help in the development of the company’s BetTech Sports product while devising and overseeing trading strategies for BetTech clients using its Fully Managed Solution (FMS).
BetTech’s FMS is a turnkey service which the company claims enables partners to launch a sportsbook within a month.
“My career in betting and gaming has taken me from South Africa to the UK and the Channel Islands. Now I am very excited to be back home and part of the BetTech team that is revolutionising the industry,” Shea said.
Shea joins BetTech having previously worked for both Hollywood Sports Book and World Betting Exchange, with company CEO Mark Bosman confident Shea will bring “a weath of knowledge and skills” to the company.
BetTech most recently agreed a deal to supply its BetTech Sports product to South African horseracing operator Kruger Racing and its online platform Krugerbets.com.
