BetVictor appoints Andreas Meinrad as new CEO
Former bwin.party chief commercial officer Meinrad will begin his new role on 1 February

BetVictor has hired bwin.party’s former chief commercial officer Andreas Meinrad (pictured) as its new chief executive, bringing to an end the operator’s six-month-long search for a successor to Michael Carlton.
BetVictor staff were informed of the appointment yesterday, however, Meinrad will not join the firm until 1 February.
In August, eGR revealed BetVictor had appointed London-based headhunter Rosemary Collins to help fill a position vacated by Carlton after owner Michael Tabor assumed full control of the firm in May.
“I am extremely excited to be joining BetVictor,” Meinrad said. “It is a great brand with a very good reputation among its users and with a fantastic opportunity for growth in the future given the investment and strategic vision of the owner
“I am sure that my experience in the sector as well as outside of the industry, coupled with my passion for sports and betting, will help us fulfil the untapped potential of the business.”
Meinrad spent six years at bwin.party where he held a number of roles including chief marketing officer and, more recently, chief commercial officer and played an integral role in the integration of the bwin and PartyGaming businesses following the 2011 merger.
Prior to bwin.party, Meinrad held senior roles at other global brands including Red Bull and Nike, and worked in a number of locations including New York, Vienna, Los Angeles, Madrid and Copenhagen.
“Since acquiring BetVictor in May, we have been looking for a world class executive to lead the business,” Tabor said.
“Andreas is an outstanding operator with a proven track record of success who will bring a wealth of global brand experience to BetVictor,” he added.
