BetVictor appoints Anton Bell as CMO
Former Betfair and 888 marketer Bell joins operator following period of consultancy for the firm

BetVictor has made its second major appointment in as many months after hiring Gaming Edge consultant Anton Bell (pictured) as chief marketing officer.
Bell, who has held a number of senior marketing positions within the industry with the likes of Betfair and 888, joins BetVictor after having impressed the firm during a consultancy brief earlier this year.
“Following a consulting engagement over the summer months, Anton agreed to take up the position of interim CMO, bringing with him a wealth of egaming experience, across analytics, strategy and marketing,” Paul Louis, BetVictor managing director, said.
“His direction is proving invaluable to building the data-driven marketing organisation we require to underpin and leverage our core brand strengths,” he added.
Bell officially agreed to take on the role in October and led the operator’s current multi-channel marketing campaign starring former England football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and TV football pundit and ex-Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson.
“I’m really excited to be working with an innovative gambling brand that’s evolving fast with the recent changes in ownership,” Bell told eGaming Review.
“We have some great assets, a solid value proposition and smart innovations in mobile that our customers love, and I’ve inherited a standout creative direction that means we can do things a little differently to our competitors,” he added.
News of Bell’s appointment comes shortly after the operator announced it had hired former bwin.party CCO Andreas Meinrad to succeed Michael Carton as chief executive.
Carlton left along with founder and chairman Victor Chandler when BetVictor owner Michael Tabor assumed full control of the firm in May.
