
BetVictor launches weekly version of Million Pound Goal
£100,000 Golden Goal promotion to be backed by new TV ad campaign starting this evening

BetVictor has launched a follow-up to its successful Euro 2016 Million Pound Goal promotion with a new weekly game called Golden Goal.
Like its predecessor, Golden Goal asks punters to correctly predict the minute and scorer of the opening goal in a pre-selected match, which will usually be the late televised kick-off on a Sunday afternoon.
All BetVictor account holders will receive one free prediction each week and have the chance to earn up to two additional predictions each week by placing real money bets on any BetVictor product.
The offer will be supported by a new TV advertising campaign which begins Monday evening.
“The Golden Goal provides new and existing customers with a free opportunity to win a serious sum of money on just one goal, every week,” said BetVictor’s head of sportsbook product, Eoin Ryan.
“We’ve also made it possible to earn up to two additional Golden Goal predictions each week, simply by placing sports bets or playing in our casino. We are confident the product will prove very popular both in attracting new customers and retaining existing ones and it will bring another level of excitement to the weekend’s football.”
The first Golden Goal game will be Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge when Manchester United visit Chelsea on Sunday.
To celebrate the launch, £100,000 is up for grabs on the first goal scored at the Bridge, with this amount rolling over and increasing by £25,000 each week there is no winner.
Once the Golden Goal is won for the first time, the prize pool will revert back to £25,000 each week. If there is more than one winner the prize will be shared.
The original Million Pound Goal promotion provided BetVictor with its best football-related customer acquisition day in its history, according to the operator. The campaign was also voted by EGR readers as the most effective of Euro 2016.
