BetVictor steps up CEO search
Gibraltar-based operator appoints headhunter in quest to find successor to Michael Carlton

BetVictor’s search for a new chief executive has intensified in recent weeks after the operator appointed headhunter Rosemary Collins to help the firm fill the vacated role, eGaming Review understands.
The operator’s previous CEO Michael Carlton (pictured) left the firm in May along with BetVictor chairman Victor Chandler when shareholder Michael Tabor bought Chandler’s share of the business to assume full control.
The Gibraltar-based bookie has since been operating without a chief executive, however, eGaming Review understands London-based Collins and her recruitment firm RCA have approached a number of potential candidates for the role.
One source close to the matter said the delay in appointing a new chief executive, coupled with the appointment of Collins, suggests BetVictor may have ruled out making an internal appointment, with MD Paul Louis having previously been touted as a potential candidate.
Tabor’s son Ashley, who is executive president at Global Radio, was also rumoured to be in line for the post, however, sources suggest this is now unlikely although he may still take up a position on the board.
Collins and BetVictor declined to make any comment.
