Betware and Prima win Danske Spil contract
Danish monopoly to receive bingo and instant games products from Microgaming-powered providers
Microgaming-powered Prima Networks and platform provider Betware have jointly won a public tender to provide Danish national lottery Danske Spil with a bingo and instant games offering.
Betware sealed the win on the back of its open gaming platforms and Microgaming’s portfolio of bingo and instant games products, following a competitive tender process. The Danish monopoly operator previously selected Icelandic supplier Betware to help launch the company’s mobile offering in June 2012.
“There’s no doubt that this contract affirms our position in Denmark as the leading software supplier and furthermore in regulated markets as a whole,” Prima Networks director Loraine Schoevers said.
Danske Spil users will gain access to all of Microgaming’s online bingo games and multiple instant predetermined games, with the suite optimised for platforms including mobile, tablet, smart TV and desktop.
“With our choice, we have found the right supplier to help develop our product and create new and exciting experiences for our customers,” said Danske Spil CIO Soren Kofoed Weeke.
