Betway head of online media and mobile departs after five years
Marketing specialist Thanos Patsis pays tribute to former employer on LinkedIn after leaving for pastures new

Betway’s global head of online media and mobile Thanos Patsis has left the online sportsbook operator after five years.
Patsis started at Betway as a global marketing manager, spending more than a year as head of channel for the business.
During this time, he oversaw the development and subsequent launch of Betway’s mobile marketing strategy, as well as retaining responsibility for the channel’s media planning and buying activity.
Patsis also played a key role in product development and optimisation, before transitioning into the head of online media and mobile role in April 2017.
In this position, Patsis led Betway’s mobile app marketing efforts, managing the firm’s in-house digital media team as well as dealing with Betway’s external digital agencies and marketing technology vendors.
He also managed the relationship with Betway’s largest affiliate partners, such as Oddschecker, News UK (Dream Team) and Racing Post.
Patsis hailed his impending departure from the operator as the “end of an era” in a post on Linkedin.
“During the time I spent in this company, I got to build a fantastic team and department from scratch, met remarkable people from all over the world and worked with some of the BEST talent in gaming, digital marketing, ad-tech and media,” Patsis said.
“Having a share of Betway’s success and seeing the company grow into a major gaming player across the globe is something that I feel very proud to have been a part of. I learned a huge lot.
“Leaving such a great company is not easy but I am very excited and looking forward to my new career move,” he concluded.
