Betway makes French market debut
Online operator launches Sportnco-powered sports betting platform in European territory

Betway will cater to French players for the very first time having launched a localised version of its sports betting website in the country.
The operator has partnered up with supplier Sportnco on an agreement which includes the development of a sportsbook offering for desktop and mobile, as well as a Player Account Management (PAM) system.
The site can be accessed through betway.fr and the app is available on both Android and iOS.

The launch in France forms part of Betway parent company Super Group’s wider strategy of being open for business in more countries around the world than its competitors.
It will utilise the flagship Betway brand before launching Spin, a multi-brand online casino offering, in the market.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said: “The Betway brand already has a huge global presence and we’re delighted to work with Sportnco to bring our range of markets and exciting products to French customers.”
Sportnco CEO and founder Hervé Schlosser said he was delighted to be working with Betway on the deal.
“The group will be a fantastic addition to the country’s online and mobile sports betting scene and brings a wealth of experience, know-how and competitive spirit to the space,” Schlosser said.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing it grow and develop its presence with French players,” he added.
The launch of Betway in France comes less than a week after French regulator ANJ announced a new action plan for online operators after discovering “questionable practices” by gambling firms during Euro 2020.
