Betway nets extended Hamburg European Open sponsorship deal
Online operator bolsters tennis sponsorship portfolio with new agreement for men’s and women’s competitions

Betway has put pen to paper on an expanded deal which will see the online operator remain the official betting sponsor of the Hamburg European Open tennis tournament.
The competition runs from 16 July to 24 July, with Betway sponsoring both the men’s and women’s tournaments in Rothenbaum.
Players such as Denmark’s Holger Rune, Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and the US’ Danielle Collins will all feature in Germany.
The partnership sees Betway expand its burgeoning tennis portfolio, having added the Rio Open 2022 and 2023 to its table last November.
Anthony Werkman, Betway CEO, said: “We are very proud to continue our fantastic relationship with the Hamburg European Open. This year, we are also extremely happy to be creating a piece of history as we partner with the women’s tournament.
“It’s very important for the women’s game to receive support in order to allow it to grow, so it’s great that we have been able to play a part in this via our partnership with the Hamburg European Open,” he added.
Tournament organiser Sandra Reichel commented: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of our partnership with Betway. [Betway] came aboard last year in unusual times with a multi-year deal and now [are] committed even more generously to the idea of a men’s and women’s tournament.”
