Betway extends West Ham sponsorship deal until 2020
New agreement will see the operator's branding appear across the club's new stadium and continue as its main shirt sponsor

Betway has signed a new three-year deal as West Ham United’s main sponsor until the 2019-20 season in a record agreement for the Premier League club.
The operator began its relationship with the Hammers back in February 2015, when it replaced collapsed foreign exchange firm Alpari as principal sponsor.
And despite its original deal running until the 2017-18 domestic season, both parties said they were keen to secure an extension to the deal.
“We are thrilled to renew our agreement with West Ham United and proud to maintain our close association with one of the most historic teams in English football, during such a hugely significant era for the Club,” Anthony Werkman, Betway marketing director, said.
“Since we first became principal sponsor in February 2015, the partnership has been a real success for Betway and West Ham. This is reflected by the fact that both parties were not only keen to renew the deal early, but also for a substantial period.”
As part of the deal, the operator’s branding is emblazoned on the Hammers’ shirt and training gear, and appears predominantly around the club’s new London Stadium, previously used for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
West Ham’s vice-chairman Karren Brady added: “Our brand has grown faster than any other major Premier League club in the past two years, and an equally ambitious, forward-thinking brand like Betway wants to be associated with that success.
“The revenue that this deal generates will be reinvested in our playing squad, and will allow us to enjoy ever greater success in the years to come.”
