BGO chief exec Andrew Bentley departs
Bentley left the online casino firm late December to set up his own consultancy business
BGO’s group CEO Andrew Bentley has left the online casino operator after nearly two years in the role, EGR Intel has learned.
EGR understands Bentley officially left the operator on 24 December and has since launched a new consultancy business focused on both gaming and non-gaming projects.
“I had an enjoyable two years with BGO and would like to thank the company for the opportunity to work with them,” Bentley told EGR.
“The time was right to move on to a new challenge and launching House Edge Consulting gives me the opportunity to work on some exciting gaming projects with new and established operators,” he added.
According to a post on LinkedIn, Bentley’s House Edge Consulting company has already agreed a number of contracts starting this January.
Bentley joined BGO as CEO in April 2018 after having worked at Genting Casinos for nearly 10 years, holding roles including interactive operations director and head of gaming.
He also previously worked at Ladbrokes for three-and-a-half years.
“The industry is clearly going through a period of significant change – it’s no secret that market conditions in the UK are getting tougher and tougher but elsewhere, huge opportunities are presenting themselves in the US and other newly regulating territories,” Bentley said.
He added: “The speed of change is fascinating and those operators that react first will reap the benefits.
“As ever, with change comes opportunity and I look forward to consulting on some exciting projects both in the UK and further afield.”
