Boylesports mulls Gibraltar move
Irish bookmaker reviewing whether to relocate online operations with British Overseas Territory likely destination

Boylesports is considering setting up an online operational hub in Gibraltar in a move which would see a number of Dundalk and London-based roles relocated to the British-owned peninsula, eGaming Review understands.
The Irish bookmaking giant currently operates its sportsbook and gaming products through an Isle of Man and Alderney licence respectively but confirmed a review was underway which could see its entire remote business licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.
Although the firm refused to be drawn on Gibraltar being lined-up as its new online base, a spokesperson for the operator did confirm that it was “reviewing the positioning of our online operations”.
“The review is still at an early stage and no decision has yet [been] reached,” the spokesperson added.
It is not yet known exactly how many roles would be transferred to Gibraltar from its Dundalk and London offices while eGR understands an official internal announcement has yet to be made on the matter.
Should it go ahead with the move, Boylesports would become the second operator to move operations to Gibraltar in as many months after bet365 recently revealed it had taken extra office space in order to relocate its global operational hub to the peninsula.
A number of other operators including William Hill, bwin.party, Ladbrokes and Gala Coral all have offices based on the British Overseas Territory.
