Boylesports places London office "under review"
Irish operator to evaluate future of office opened last year as firm gears up for Gibraltar move

Boylesports is considering closing its London office little more than a year after opening the marketing-focused base, eGaming Review has learned.
According to the firm, the Bayswater office has been placed “under review” with the news coming soon after eGR revealed the Irish operator had been given the green light to open an online operational hub in Gibraltar.
Boylesports has already taken out an option on premises on the peninsula which will be used to house approximately 20 staff “very quickly”, according to a source close to the firm.
The move is expected to see the London team roughly halved in size to around four, with the firm having already confirmed the departure of chief marketing officer James Arnold, who helped set-up the office following his arrival from Sportingbet in May 2013.
A spokesperson for Boylesports said it would take its time before coming to a decision on the future of the office with no clousre expected in the “short term” but added that, whatever the outcome, the firm remained committed to growing its UK business.
The spokesperson also confirmed the search for a successor to Arnold was underway with the firm willing to consider candidates from both inside and outside of the industry, although digital experience would be essential.
“We are out there actively looking for a CMO right now,” the spokesperson said. “But the firm will take their time with the search as they want to ensure they find the right candidate,” the spokesperson added.
The firm also continues to seach for a chief technology officer following the departure of Keith O’Loughlin to Coral earlier in the year.
Boylesports’ relocation to Gibraltar will see a consolidation of its operating licences. The firm currently operates its sportsbook and gaming products through an Isle of Man and Alderney licence respectively but its entire remote operations will soon be governed the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.
