Brandywine CEO files countersuit against Cantor
Joseph Asher's lawyers describe initial accusations from US operator as "belated and meritless".

The chief executive of William Hill-owned land-based sports betting operator Brandywine Bookmaking has filed a countersuit against former employed Cantor Gaming three months after being accused of breaching non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
Lawyers for Joseph Asher have described Cantor’s lawsuit, first brought in August, as a “[B]elated and meritless attempt to damage Asher’s reputation and harass and distract him,” according to the Las Vegas Sun.
At the time of the initial suit Asher said: “Any allegation that I have done anything wrong is ridiculous and totally false”, adding that the decision to bring the complaint after the sale of Brandywine to William Hill “says a lot”.
Brandywine, which operates in Nevada and Delaware, joined the Nevada-based American Wagering and Cal Neva sportsbooks on the list of new additions to the British bookmaker’s US portfolio this year.
