Bwin.party seals player verification deal with CAMS
Egaming operator bolsters its player verification suite with US-facing deal
London-listed operator bwin.party has signed a deal with customer verification services firm CAMS to receive player age verification and identification services in the US.
Bwin.party will receive CAMS’ suite of Know Your Customer verification services, including age verification and identification technology, complimenting the operator’s existing deal with geolocation technology provider GeoComply.
The operator is looking to commence operations in New Jersey before the end of this year, having entered into agreements with Boyd Gaming and MGM in October 2011.
New Jersey published draft egaming regulations, licensing online gambling in the state, on 3 June with the market intended to launch in mid-November. Crucial to regulation is ensuring players are of age and within state lines.
New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement revealed in July that it had received 37 applications for online gambling licences, 12 of which were for marketing, payments and third-party service provider Ancillary Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licences.
CAMS chief executive Matthew Katz said the company was excited to help streamline bwin’s online operations. “This partnership is another significant step in the global advancement of internet gambling,” he said.
“Working with CAMS enables bwin.party to realise a significant reduction in player verification costs,” said bwin.party group director of product and technology Guy Duncan.
